Members Meeting 2nd April 2012
This months Chairperson is Shayma Halawa and she did a great job of chairing our first April meeting. As was mentioned in the meeting, we have a good core group of members now and we were all in full attendance.
Members meetings are our opportunity to take care of housekeeping tasks, vote on new members as well as discuss and implement processes for the Club.
As always the conversation was entertaining. With a full agenda we had to stay on topic and managed to get through everything. All procedural changes were seen to and Greg tasked with amending the Charter to reflect these. Rather than listing them all, the latest version of the Charter – under the resources tab of the website, or in the drop box for existing members.
Our presentation today came from Andy Gibbins who presented a new joint venture he and Jacqui Taylor are undertaking called Gulf Masterclasses. They have taken it upon themselves to provide a different kind of training for participants which will enable them to actually retain the knowledge transferred and see them get real value from the courses. One of the key advantages of being a Leading Links Club member is the mentoring program that we are all involved in. This meeting marked the beginning of a new 90 day period and so the new matches were revealed by Scott and our Social Contracts were signed and co-signed right there and then as a commitment to each other – in many cases the first meeting date and time was also agreed. If you’d like to find out more about this, come along to a meeting as it’s one of those topics that is always on the agenda, not least because it is something we all derive positive outcomes from. Pop to the home page and click on the date you would like to attend. The email of the chairperson for that month is in the calendar so feel free to drop them a line.
