Members and Guest Meeting 16th April 2012
As Chairperson for April, Shayma hosted the 2nd meeting of the month, for members and guests. Once again a great turnout – with 22 guests coming along to join the members.
The agenda started with brief introductions around the table, followed by the News, as is always the format of our meetings. Quite a lot going on this week – the main thing though that David Cook was desperately looking for some company at the InvestMe event at the Capital Club.
Other News
Miel has an event in Knowledge Village Auditorium on April 23rd from 6pm – 8pm, networking beforehand. The event is called “My Journey” with an International philanthropist Speaker. No fee.
Shayma mentioned that the next Heels & Deals event is speed networking on April 30th.
Livia has a Dibba/Musandam Trip with hiking, yoga and other activities on May 4th/5th. Limited Spots available at AED 745 pps.
Deb informed us about a Mother/Toddler event with the proceeds going to charity for Breast Cancer. It will be on in Sunset Mall. Contact Deb for more details please.
Daniel let us know that Cityscape Abu Dhabi is next week from April 22nd – 25th. He can’t take everyone but he is driving down. Caitriona will also be driving to Abu Dhabi for it.

Faysal gave us more details on the Silent Bid Auction taking place on April 27th/28th at StorAll premises in Jebel Ali Industrial Estate. It begins at 8.30am. He has sent a map out. Drop Faysal a line for more info.
Today’s presentation was delivered by the Chairperson Shayma – O Design/Shayma Creations
Shayma specializes in concepts – She can bring your concept to life in jewellery or as your office space, event etc. O Design has many clients such as Vodafone, BMW, JVC and PepsiCo. Shayma Creations can make bespoke pieces for you inspired by many different things – she gave us examples of how music, and traditional Arabian culture have been incorporated into her designs.
Shayma needs introductions to high end boutiques/stores for her jewellery range and marketing, design agencies for her interior design.
The whole point of Leading Links Club is to generate business for the other members of the group and a couple of success stories from the group this week follow;
Matt is being used by Jon for Design.
Sam attended once and has signed up a previous guest, Guy from Origin. Matt also gave her a referral
Daniel, Jennifer, Irene and Jacqui all have success stories from LLC Introductions.
Next meeting is on the 7th May for Members only.
