Monthly Networking Meetings

Members and Guests meetings – Every 3rd Monday of the month and usually comprise the following;

  • A 2 hour meeting from 8am-10am
  • Chaired by one of the Leading Links Club Members – rotating monthly Chairperson-ship
  • A typical meeting agenda would be as follows;
  1. Welcome, News and meeting frame
  2. Individual Introductions (20/30 seconds per attendee)
  3. Speed networking exercise (5min contact)
  4. Break
  5. Presentation (either an invited speaker or selected LLC member)
  6. Leads, referral requests and success stories
  7. Close
  • Members are to invite at least one guest to the meeting (a representative of a Dubai based organisation)

Members only meetings – 1st Monday of the month and comprises the following;

  • A 2 hour meeting from 8am-10pm
  • Chaired by that months Chairperson
  • Welcome, News and meeting frame
  • Club Operation Review (agenda items can be submitted by all members for discussion)
  • Presentation (elected Leading Links member)
  • Close

Mentoring Element

The LLC exists as a networking group that is focused on helping organisations of all sizes grow their top line. With this main objective in mind, one of the core benefits of the LLC is the mentoring program that runs on a rotating 90 day period. The mentoring program comprises the following;

  • Members are matched quarterly with a mentor, a peer within the club
  • Mentor matches are designed to be a 90 day support program
  • Mentoring focuses on the TOP LINE (sales) aspects of the mentee, exploring options for sales growth, customer retention, channels and overcoming obstacles
  • The mentor/mentee relationship is typically a commitment of 4-6 hours per month (face 2 face, emails, calls, skype)
  • Leading Links Resources are available and use of them encouraged ( venture road maps, sales resources, coaching tools and the like)
The mentoring program translates directly into benefits for all those who participate. The process facilitates the relationship building that is essential to good referral passing, it also results in direct TOP LINE business. Mentoring has led to the following over the last 12 months;
  • A referral that led to direct business in Palestine
  • Referrals that have led to new business in the UAE
  • A referral that resulted in a new distributor agreement for a member to sell Canadian products in the UAE
  • The updating of a members business model so they could focus on new market segments which directly increased sales
  • Complete rebranding and repositioning of a members business which translated into the creation of new products and a new venture
  • Improved pricing and packaging for one members business which resulted in increased sales.
  • The third party objective view of a mentor into one members business led to the integration of two separate parts of their business and an amalgamated online presence.

Supporting Members

Leading Links Club is an informal club with the purpose of helping its members grow their business. The club fosters an atmosphere of support and understands that in order for us to be able to make good business referrals, we need to know the people we are referring. LLC provides a forum to help each other face to face. We actively encourage meetings to happen on a 1 to 1 basis between members, so as to build that rapport and understanding of the people themselves and of course their businesses with a view to making ‘ideal’ referrals only. We also firmly believe in the law of cause and effect – we reap what we sow and firmly believe in paying it forward. Our club is there for everyone’s mutual benefit and we actively foster this approach in our meetings and subsequent meetings with each other.
